The Jovew brand was founded by Makisa Lewis-Lockiby, a fashion designer , in 2014 when she launched her handbag brand. She has worked in the industry of fashion design and accessory design for the past six years, after graduating with her BA Honors in Fine Arts in Fashion Design in 2012. Makisa is committed to all projects that she undertakes, making sure that all her clients are completely satisfied by the end of every collaboration. All projects are equipped with an additional sustainable impact solution to help them play a part in resolving the issues being faced in the fashion industry today.
