We are a body of legal practitioners, academics, sport administrators, athletes and stakeholders in the sport and law industries. In October 2013, 11 individuals with a shared passion for sport law and administration met to re-ignite conversations about officially establishing a local body that would create a new dynamic in sports and law in Trinidad and Tobago. Since then we've met consistently to discuss local issues in sport and law. On May 1, 2017, these conversations led to our formal registration as a non-profit organisation. Our executive and core membership comprise attorneys-at-law and academics with a background in Sport Law and Administration. As we develop this new dynamic in Trinidad and Tobago, our goals are to: 1. Write, publish, circulate and distribute articles and journals 2. Organise lectures, courses, and seminars of various types and durations that support our activities 3. Arrange sponsorship opportunities for our members and for our activities 4. Provide administrative support services to our members in order to enhance their organisational effectiveness and stability 5. Act as a liaison between the amateur sport community, and the public and private sectors 6. Facilitate open and continuous communication within the sport community 7. Encourage and foster the growth and development of amateur sport through Trinidad and Tobago 8. Enhance the nation's quality of life by promoting active participation in sport
